Dean has had numerous pastoring roles over the past decade or so, from youth ministry to worship and discipleship ministries. He has a great passion for seeing Christians come to a deeper understanding of what it means to practically live out a discipleship focused life. In fact he has a passion for seeing all people do that, even if they don't know Jesus yet, that they would understand their need to follow Jesus as His disciple.

His other great passion is sport.  Dean has been a volunteer Sports Chaplain with Sports Chaplaincy Australia since 2004.  He began working in motorsport, first with the Australian Drag Racing Association and then Motorsports Australia and V8 Supercars.  In 2019 Dean switched his focus from motorsport to AFL and joined the Redland-Victoria Point Sharks Australian Football Club as their senior chaplain. It is a great blessing to be able to mix his two passions - sport and making disciples.

Dean is married to Chelsea, who is a primary school teacher and loves to see kids come to understand who Jesus truly is.
