TITLE: Symptoms of Following Jesus

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: Luke 9:46-62

SERIES: Seeing Jesus Clearly

As we finish chapter 9 we see the rolling effect of Jesus telling His disciples that to follow Him they must ‘Deny themselves, take up their cross daily and follow Him’. When we do that there will be symptoms that become evident in our lives, they are symtoms that counter the other symptoms of our human, sinful nature. We see this in our passage today in the Disciples actions, and Jesus’ rebukes.

We’re calling the series “Seeing Jesus Clearly”, because in all we do we want to be seeing more and more of who Jesus is and how He constantly and emphatically impacts our lives every day. It’s so good for us to spend this time reading and studying through the life of Jesus again and again.
