Paul is outlining for the Galatian Church that there is great freedom found in being a Christian. Jesus frees us from the law, by having fulfilled it, and from sin, by having paid for it Himself. And how we live after gaining that freedom matters. We could give in to the vices of the flesh and live for ourselves, but we are simply falling back into the slavery that sin once had over us, or we can live by the Spirit which is what produces fruit in our lives. This fruit is modelling Godly Character all through our lives, wherever we are, whatever we are doing and whomever we are doing it with.
